Miles Wrestling Productions (MWP) is bringing you something totally unique! For this Battle for the Ring event, we’re rolling out the mats outside under the sunshine at Arizona Christian University’s brand-new artificial turf field.
Expect perfect outdoor wrestling conditions—clear skies and average temperatures in the high 60s. Think of it as MWP Under the Lights, but Under the Sun! It’s going to be a fun, high-energy, unforgettable experience for every athlete.

- Top 2 Placers: HUGE 5-inch custom medals (1st and 2nd place).
- 3rd & 4th Place: Custom placement medals.
💍 The Ultimate Prize: Championship Ring, Singlet & Shirt
To win the prestigious Championship Ring, Championship Singlet, and the New Undefeated T-Shirt, an athlete must go undefeated and take 1st place in their weight class across all 3 series tournaments. It’s a tough challenge—who will be wearing the ring and shirt to school on Monday?
🖼️ All-Regional Honors
- The top two point-earners in each weight class across the series will receive a framed All-Regional Certificate.
- Eligibility Requirement: Athletes must compete in the final tournament on January 9th to qualify for All-Regional Honors. While attending all 3 events maximizes your points, missing one of the first two won't disqualify you!
🚩 Team Banners
- Custom banners will be awarded to the Top 3 Teams with the highest cumulative series points to hang in their wrestling room.
- Eligibility Requirement: Teams must compete in the final tournament on January 9th to be eligible for team awards.
Series Point System
Points are tracked per athlete and team at each tournament as follows:
- 1st Place: 20 points
- 2nd Place: 15 points
- 3rd Place: 10 points
- 4th Place: 5 points
🤼 NEW: Rookie Divisions designed specifically for wrestlers with 2 years or less of experience.
Double-Bracketing: Yes! Rookie wrestlers are permitted to double-bracket in the Open Division within the same age group. (See the weights and schedule tab for specific details.)
None. Rookie athletes can double-bracket in the same age group up one weight class or the same weight class up one age group.

National Exposure & Professional Setup Miles Wrestling Productions (MWP) uses Track Wrestling to ensure an organized, efficient, and punctual event. Because many college recruiters use Track Wrestling to track top talent nationwide, MWP events offer valuable national exposure for competing athletes—just one of the many reasons premier wrestlers from across the country choose MWP.
Every mat features large, professional scoreboards prominently displaying each athlete’s name and club/school affiliation.

- Captured Memories: By taking photos and video footage your family & friends can cherish these milestone moments for a lifetime.
- Top-Tier Officiating: We have hired Elite Arizona University Wrestlers to referee, ensuring high-caliber, accurate calls.
Registration Details
- Registration Fee: $35
- Registration Deadline: Friday at 10:00 PM (noon).
- How to Register: Click the registration icon to sign up via Track Wrestling. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged to help us maintain a smooth schedule.
- Late Walk-ups: Accepted at weigh-ins with a $10 late fee (Cash only).
Spectator & Facility Guidelines
- Coaches / Field Passes: $20 Cash. We have simplified entry and lowered the price from $25 to $20. Everyone with a pass can freely move between the sidelines and field to watch their wrestlers up close.
- Complimentary Pass: Coaches receive 1 free pass for every 6 registered wrestlers (passes must be picked up at weigh-ins).
- Seating: There are no bleachers at this venue. Please bring your own lawn chairs or blankets.
- Set-up Zone: When setting up chairs, blankets, or gym bags along the sidelines and endzones, please maintain a 20-yard distance from the mats.
- Turf Rules: To protect the artificial turf, only water is permitted on the field. No other food or drinks are allowed.

Weight classes: we will give ½ pound allowance for a singlet or compression shorts and shirt. For the finale tournament, January 9th, we will give 1 ½ pound allowance.
You may double bracket in the same age group at the next weight up or double bracket in the next age group.

No, although it’s a good idea to wear one. - Is a USA card mandatory?
Yes, it is. Go to USA Wrestling membership site to sign up. Thanks! We support USA wrestling. - Is a singlet mandatory?
No, if not wearing a singlet you must wear compression shorts and a shirt. - Is there a weight allowance?
We will give ½ pound allowance for a singlet or compression shorts and shirt. For the final tournament on January 13th, we will be giving a 1.5-pound allowance. - Is a coach’s band mandatory to coach on the mat?
Yes, Details on obtaining one are on the general information tab. - May I double-bracket?
Yes, you can go up in weight and or age. Please note there is no minimal time between matches if double bracket. - Do I need to have a coach to wrestle?
Having your own coach is not mandatory for any MWP tournament. - Do I need to belong to a team to compete in this tournament?
